Hunter dies in Connecticut after falling from tree, police say

The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at Baystate Medical Center. 

A hunter died Tuesday evening after falling from a tree in Connecticut, police said.

Enfield EMS, police, and fire responded to 54 Weymouth Road around 7 p.m. and located the man about 300 feet into the woods, the Enfield Police Department said in a release.  

As Enfield first responders provided aid, the man became unresponsive and CPR was administered, the release said. 

The Enfield Fire Department transported the man out of the woods using a UTV, or utility task vehicle, according to police.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at Baystate Medical Center, officials said.
