Swiss International Air Lines Flight 55, headed to Zurich, Switzerland, halted its takeoff around 6:25 p.m. due to “engine issues,” according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA also briefly paused some arrivals to the airport before the plane taxied off the runway, the administration said in a statement.
“The Swiss aircraft returned to Logan for a report of a loud noise,” a Massachusetts Port Authority spokesperson said. “There were no injuries.”

Both Massport and the FAA directed further inquiries to the airline.
SWISS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The incident is under investigation by the FAA.
