A construction worker was injured in a scaffolding collapse inside a building in the South End on Tuesday.
The scaffolding “must have shifted and hit him in the head and he may have lost consciousness,” Boston Fire Deputy Chief Martin McCormack told WHDH.
The worker was placed on a stretcher bed and extricated from the third floor of the building on Tower 10, according to Boston Fire.
The worker was then transported to a local hospital, the fire department said. The worker is currently on concussion protocol, contractors told WHDH.
The cause of accident is being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the local building inspector, according to Boston fire.
