2 young adults killed in midday N.H. crash

The crash occurred at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Barrington.

A 25-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, both from Barrington, were killed Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in the New Hampshire town, police say.

Another driver, an 83-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital with injuries.

According to police, the crash involved two passenger vehicles and a commercial vehicle at the intersection of Route 125 and Newtown Plains Road at about 1 p.m.:

The preliminary investigation indicates that the first passenger [vehicle] was southbound awaiting a left-hand turn and was struck from behind by the second passenger vehicle. This collision subsequently caused the victims’ car to enter the northbound travel lane where it was struck by the commercial vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
