A Canton man was arrested Thursday morning for the May murder of a Dorchester man, according to the Boston Police Department.
Jordan Evans, 32, was arrested on Revere Street in Canton around 11:45 a.m., according to police.
Evans was wanted for the murder of Shakar Caterson, 35, who was shot and killed May 3, police said.
Caterson, of Dorchester, was shot near Blue Hill Avenue and Georgia Street in Dorchester around 11 p.m., police said.
Officers found Caterson suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to police.
Evans was arrested for a slew of charges, including murder and a firearm violation with two prior violent/drug crimes, police said.
He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury Municipal Court, according to court documents. No attorney information was listed for him in court records Thursday night.
