A bystander helped rescue the driver of an SUV that entered Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury on Tuesday.
Around 4:30 p.m., Shrewsbury police received a report of a vehicle in the water at the Corazzini Boat Ramp at 239 North Quinsigamond Ave.
Before police arrived, the bystander had helped the driver exit the submerging 2021 Hyundai Palisade, which was towing a boat.
The driver was assessed at the scene and did not require further medical assistance, police say. The vehicle and the boat were removed from the water by Lovey’s Towing.
