Massachusetts Environmental Police released a video Wednesday, showing the moment a water monitor lizard named Goose was captured after more than two weeks on the lam.

On July 18, Goose escaped from the second story window of his home on Blueberry Hill in Webster.

Witnesses reported sightings of the lizard several times, including as far as Connecticut, before he was finally captured.

On Saturday afternoon, authorities responded to a sighting of the lizard in Douglas and were eventually able to lure him out of a hole underneath a tree with two pieces of chicken as bait, according to the Facebook post.
