Braintree man struck, killed by pickup truck in Randolph

No charges have been filed, but authorities said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.

A 49-year-old Braintree man was struck and killed Tuesday night by a pickup truck in Randolph, authorities said.

Randolph police responded to the area of 650 Mazeo Drive around 9:10 p.m. where they found an injured pedestrian, identified Wednesday by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office as Leonard McStevens. McStevens was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, the DA said.

McStevens was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a pickup truck, the DA’s office said. The driver of the truck, identified as a 28-year-old Canton man, remained at the scene following the crash.
