An 18-year-old Providence woman died on the scene of a three-vehicle crash in Seekonk Sunday night, the local district attorney announced Monday.
Mass. State Police received multiple reports on Sunday around 11 p.m. of a three-vehicle crash on I-195 West in Seekonk, Bristol Count District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn said in a press release.
EMS pronounced Abriana Herrera Perez, 18, deceased at the scene.
Officials said the three vehicles involved in the crash were heavily damaged.
Three of the four occupants of the Mazda, an 18-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl, and a 17-year-old boy, were brought to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries, according to the release.
A black 2012 Mazda 3 was located in the right traveling lane with disabling damage, officials said.
Perez was the fourth occupant of the Mazda, Quinn said.
A red 2003 Toyota Tacoma was upside down in the median, and its operator, a 69-year-old woman, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.
A blue 2007 Yamaha XVS motorcycle was in the breakdown lane with disabling damage. The motorcycle’s operator, a 33-year-old man, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries, according to the release.
The crash is an ongoing investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
