The Lexington Police Department is seeking the public’s help following two assault and battery incidents on the town’s bike path.
In both incidents, a man behaving erratically tried to grab two teenagers before fleeing the scene when other bike path users approached, according to the police.
The incidents occurred on Sunday and Monday between 5 and 6:30 p.m. on the Minuteman Bikeway near Great Meadows and the Lexington/Arlington town line.
The suspect is reportedly a thin white man who is 30 to 40 years old and approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, blue shorts, a respirator-type mask, and no socks or shoes, police said.
Anyone who witnessed the incidents or may have information about the suspect is asked to call the Lexington Police Department at 781-862-1212 or email Detective Michael Sowle at [email protected].
