A Marshfield woman told police Saturday night that a man in a pickup truck with no license plates had assaulted her as she was walking home on Ocean Street.
The woman said the incident happened around 9:45 p.m. in the Rexhame area. She first noticed the older model white pickup truck drive past her multiple times.
The woman “stated that a passenger in the truck exited the vehicle and said ‘you should come with me,’ she said ‘no,’ and the male said ‘you’re a scary little girl’ and grabbed her by the wrist,” police said in a release.
The woman was able to break free and knocked the man to the ground, according to police. The pickup drove away as she did, and she then ran away.
After receiving the woman’s call around 11 p.m., police arrived on the scene. They conducted a K-9 search of the area that was unsuccessful and are now reviewing surveillance camera footage from local homes and businesses.
The woman described the passenger to be a 6-foot-tall skinny, white man in his 60s with dark hair styled into a mullet and missing teeth. He was wearing a white tank top and may have marks on his face from the woman fighting him off.
The driver and the passenger looked similar and were of similar ages, she told police.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Officer Bruno of the Marshfield Police Department at 781-834-6655 ext. 1100.
