A 70-year-old Brockton woman has been missing for over 2 weeks

Police are continuing to search for Marie Louissaint, who reportedly wandered off from her home on July 5.

Brockton police are searching for a 70-year-old woman who went missing more than two weeks ago, on July 5. 

Marie Louissaint wandered off from her home at Caffrey Towers, 755 Crescent St. in Brockton, police said. According to family members, she has wandered off before. 

Louissaint is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, approximately 175 pounds, Black, and only speaks Haitian Creole, according to police. She has gray hair, brown eyes, and may have been wearing a green dress at the time of her disappearance.

She was last seen by her son-in-law near her residence.

“There is growing concern for Marie’s safety, as her family reports that she has been without her medication and struggles with mental health issues,” Brockton Police spokesman Darren Duarte told Boston.com Thursday.

Last Thursday, a dozen Brockton officers and two State Police K-9 units searched the wooded areas near Louissaint’s home, according to The Enterprise. The search was conducted in the dense woods around Massasoit Community College and Downey Elementary School. Brockton police also requested search support from the State Police Air Wing, the newspaper reported.
