Man charged year after Bedford pedestrian crash kills 53-year-old Concord woman

Joshua Quimby, 35, of Billerica, allegedly struck and killed Tamar Vishlitzky, who was walking her bike in a crosswalk.

A Billerica man is now facing a motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation charge after he allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian on Concord Road in Bedford last July, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

Joshua Quimby, 35, was driving a Volkswagen GTI on July 20, 2024, when he allegedly hit 53-year-old Tamar Vishlitzky, of Concord, who was walking her bike in a crosswalk near a bike path intersection, officials said.

Following the crash, Quimby was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, a crosswalk violation, and using an electronic device while operating a vehicle.

“The criminal complaint for the charge of motor vehicle homicide was issued today following a show cause hearing before a clerk magistrate to determine probable cause,” the DA’s office said Wednesday.
