A car barely missed swimmers after landing in a campground swimming pool in Monson on Sunday, the Monson Police Department reported.
Around 1 p.m., Monson Police and Fire responded to a call that a car had entered the pool at Sunset View Campground, according to Boston 25 News.
Police and fire safely extracted riders from the car. Firefighters evaluated six people at the scene and no injuries were reported, according to the Monson Fire Department.
The vehicle was later removed from the pool by the fire department.
“We would like thank off duty fire personnel from Wales, Palmer and Springfield who assisted people out of the pool and secured the area prior to our arrival,” Monson Fire said in a Facebook post.

Details regarding the cause of the accident have not been released.
