Stoughton brothers found dead after fishing incident in Rhode Island

The brothers, identified by family as Valdir Centeio and Aldino Centeio were fishing at Warren's Point Beach Club in Little Compton, Rhode Island.

Two brothers from Stoughton were reportedly found dead late Sunday morning, ending a search after they were both swept away while fishing on Saturday in Rhode Island.

The brothers, identified by family as Valdir Centeio, 31, and Aldino Centeio, 27, according to NBC10 Boston, were reportedly fishing at Warren’s Point Beach Club in Little Compton, Rhode Island. 

A distress call to the Little Compton Police Department reported that a man fell off of rocks along the shoreline into the water, The Boston Globe reported, and then a second fisherman jumped in attempting to rescue the first man. Both men were swept away by the current.

The police told the Globe that a third man also entered the water in an attempt to help the other two and required assistance from the rescue crews.
