A man was shot and killed in Springfield late Saturday night, police said.
The police responded to the report of a gunshot victim at 2700 Main St. around 11:20 p.m., Springfield Police spokesperson Ryan Walsh said in a statement on X Sunday afternoon.
The officers found the victim, an adult male whose name was not released. He was brought to Baystate Health, where he died from his injuries, according to the police.
The Springfield Police Homicide Unit is investigating alongside the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, Walsh said.
