Car leaves I-95, ends up in tree in Newburyport

A car traveling on I-95 apparently lost control and wound up up a tree in Newburport on Tuesday.

Early Tuesday, the Newburyport Fire Department responded to a car rollover off of I-95, the department reported in a social media post

After the car exited the roadway, it rolled “deep into the woods,” the department reported. The car ended up upside down in a tree on a rock embankment.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Portsmouth Hospital via ambulance, the department reported.
