A man on board a JetBlue flight died Monday after he suffered a medical emergency on the plane as it was descending into Logan International Airport, officials said.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, troopers from the Logan Barracks responded to Terminal C at around 8:40 a.m. on Monday for a report of an unresponsive man onboard an aircraft.

Upon arrival, troopers saw that CPR was already being performed on him. The State Police transported him to a local hospital by EMS.

According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, the 69-year-old man from New Hampshire had suffered a medical event and was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital.
