Middleborough man charged with murder, allegedly stabbed mother’s partner

The 41-year-old man allegedly stabbed his mother’s 66-year-old partner after a fight broke out, officials said.

A Middleborough man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed another man to death, according to prosecutors.

Andrew Horsman, 41, is charged with murder for allegedly stabbing Paul Pomerleau, 66, Saturday night, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz and Middleborough Police Chief Robert Ferreira said in a statement. Pomerleau was in a long-term relationship with Horsman’s mother, the officials said.

Just after 8 p.m., Middleborough police responded to several 911 calls reporting a fight and a man stabbed on Fairview Street. Officers found Pomerlau suffering from multiple stab wounds, the statement said.

Pomerleau was taken to Morton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the statement. Middleborough police and State Police interviewed several witnesses who reported that a domestic argument led to the stabbing, the officials said.
