More than a dozen people were taken to the hospital after a van crashed into a Dorchester triple decker Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Boston police said officers responded to the report of a van striking a building in the area of 24 Rowell St. around 1:01 p.m. The van was carrying 16 elderly passengers and 14 were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries after the crash, police said.
Police said Boston Inspectional Services responded to assess the building for structural damage.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
