As temperatures rose Tuesday morning, fire crews battled a three-alarm blaze in Norfolk.
The house fire at 3 Main St. was reported shortly before 10 a.m. by a passerby, according to local authorities. Photos shared by police show flames raging from the home’s roof and through its front door.
Authorities said the fire went to three alarms because of the heavy fire, but also due to the heat wave. Two firefighters were taken to a hospital for heat exhaustion; no other injuries were reported.
The fire remains under investigation.
