An Andover man was arrested this month on child enticement charges after, police say, he had sexually explicit conversations with a person whom he believed was a 13-year-old girl.
David Espinola, 65, was arraigned Friday on the charge of enticement of a child under 16. He pleaded not guilty and was released on the condition that he have no unsupervised contact or volunteer work with minors.
Tewksbury police said the department was contacted on June 7 by a third party who provided evidence that a person, later identified as Espinola, was having sexually explicit conversations with a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl. Espinola was planning to meet the girl in person, police said.
He was arrested at his Andover apartment on June 12 following an investigation by the department. Attorney information for the 65-year-old was not immediately available.
Espinola is due back in court July 8.
