Two people died in an apparent murder-suicide in Milton on Friday night, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey’s office.
At about 7:30 p.m., authorities responded to multiple 911 calls about a stabbing that occurred on Blue Hills Parkway in Milton. State Police troopers and Milton police officers found two people wounded at the scene.
Rose Lamour, 28, of Milton, and Stanley Monteperousse, 35, formerly of Florida, were given medical treatment and transported to local hospitals, Morrissey’s office said. They were both pronounced dead at local hospitals.
The two were dating and had one child together. The evidence suggests that the couple died in a murder-suicide, officials said, but an investigation remains ongoing. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has yet to conduct autopsies. Officials did not release any further information about Lamour, Monteperousse, or the events leading up to their deaths.
Morrissey called the event a “heartbreaking tragedy.” He shared resources for those experiencing domestic violence. DOVE, Inc., can be reached by calling 617-471-1234, and the state’s Safelink domestic violence hotline can be reached by calling 877-785-2020.
