An 18-year-old man died at the scene of a car crash Sunday night in Dartmouth, officials said.
Dartmouth police and EMS were dispatched to the crash at 9 p.m. in the area of 244 Russells Mills Road, according to a statement from the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. A silver Hyundai Sonata had crashed into a telephone pole.
The driver’s door was ajar, and officers found the only occupant, Nikoles Joseph, 18, of South Dartmouth, stuck between the car and the telephone pole, the office said. Joseph was pronounced dead at the scene by Dartmouth EMS.
The crash is under investigation, but the office said no charges are anticipated at this time.
