A Thursday morning flight from Chicago veered off the runway at Logan International Airport during landing and ended up in the grass.
According to Massport, JetBlue flight 312 rolled into the grass area off runway 33-L. There were no injuries.
Massport says the runway remains closed to assess the aircraft. A ground stop on all flights was in effect Thursday afternoon.
According to the flight tracker, the JetBlue B6 312 left Chicago at 8:41 a.m. and arrived in Boston at 11:49 a.m.
JetBlue confirmed that all of the passengers were safe. JetBlue bussed all of the passengers to the terminal.
“Safety is JetBlue’s top priority,” a statement from the company said. “We will conduct a full investigation of the incident and will work closely with the relevant authorities to understand the cause.”
At this time, neither Massport nor JetBlue has stated what caused the flight to veer off the runway.
Material from the Associated Press was used in this report.
