The family of a 21-year-old woman found dead in Milton Sunday has started a GoFundMe and is looking for answers surrounding her death.
The body of Adriana Suazo was found in a wooded area near 143 Central Ave. by a passerby around 11:45 a.m. on June 1, according to a statement from the Norfolk district attorney’s office.
Suazo’s sister, Mel, launched a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral and burial expenses. In the fundraiser’s description, Mel described Suazo as “rambunctious, bold, and had a personality that could light up any room.”
“She loved hard, laughed loud, and made sure the people around her felt it,” Mel wrote in the GoFundMe.
Suazo lived in Boston and family members told Boston 25 News that they did not know how she ended up in Milton, saying she would never go there.
“We know the areas she was in, she was in Boston, she was in Dorchester, she was in Roxbury, she was in Jamaica Plain, we know where she would go and she would not come around [there], we know that for a fact,” Adriana’s foster sister told Boston 25 News.
Family members said they suspect somebody brought her to the town, despite police not yet ruling her death as suspicious.
There were no obvious signs of trauma to her body, but the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is currently investigating.
Police urge anyone who was with Suazo recently to call the Massachusetts State Police tip line at the Norfolk district attorney’s office at 781-830-4990.
