A man and woman were arrested Saturday evening after they allegedly engaged in “lewd acts” in “full view of the public” in the parking lot of the Boys & Girls Club in Salem, New Hampshire.

Local police responded at about 6:25 p.m. to the club, which was open and hosting an event, according to a department release.

“A responding officer personally observed the activity and arrests were made,” police said. “Both subjects were uncooperative during the arrests. It was determined that children, under the age of 16, had viewed the activity while it was occurring.”

The male suspect — Joseph Perreault, 46, of New Ipswich — also allegedly assaulted an officer at the police station.
