Man dies in Dorchester shooting, police say

He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

A man died after being shot in Dorchester Saturday night.

Boston police responded to a radio call at approximately 11 p.m. in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Georgia Street. Officers found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound, the department said. 

Boston EMS responded and the victim was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. 

No other information, including the victim’s identity, has been released. The incident is under investigation by the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
