Missing a gold wedding band?
Authorities are looking for the owner of a 14K ring found inside the coin machine at a bank in Somerset late last month.
Somerset police said the piece of jewelry was found on March 31 at the Rockland Trust branch in town.
“There is a date inscribed inside the wedding ring that the owner must provide or show proof of ownership,” police said.
Melissa Guimond, public relations specialist at Rockland Trust, told The Boston Globe that the ring was discovered when the coin machine wasn’t working. A manager took a look inside to find the gold band jamming one of the machine’s components.
“Rockland Trust branch staff go through coin machines on a nearly daily basis,” Guimond told the newspaper. “It is rare to find anything like this in the machines.”
Anyone who thinks the ring could be theirs is being asked to reach out to Somerset police and offer proof of ownership.
