Authorities said Tuesday that they had identified the skeletal remains that were recently found near a golf course in Derry, New Hampshire.
The remains were those of Amanda Grazewski, a young woman who went missing in March 2020, according to Attorney General John Formella.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the Derry Police Department are investigating the cause and manner of Grazewski’s death. No results have been released so far, and Formella’s statement made no mention of whether foul play is suspected or not.
“Our thoughts are with Amanda Grazewski’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathy to them,” Formella said in a statement. “I also want to express my gratitude to the dedicated law enforcement and forensic professionals involved in this case, as well as to the community members who have provided valuable tips throughout this investigation.”
Grazewski was 23 at the time she disappeared. She was last seen on Birch Street in Derry. Grazewski was staying with a friend but left early in the morning without her purse, cellphone, or other belongings. She was known to frequent Nashua, Manchester, Hooksett, and Salem, New Hampshire, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.
Police found Grazewski’s remains near the Hoodkroft Country Club golf course last week after receiving a tip, officials said. The course, located on East Broadway, is next to Birch Street. It is scheduled to open for the 2025 season on April 1.
