A Weymouth man was fatally injured when he was struck by a car Monday night while crossing Southern Artery near Broad Street in Quincy, according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.
Quincy police were dispatched to the crash just after 7 p.m., the DA’s office said. The pedestrian, 58, was taken to a Boston hospital, where he died Tuesday morning.
The driver, an 82-year-old Quincy man, was unharmed. No charges have immediately been filed, according to the DA’s office.
The pedestrian’s identity will not be released until his family has been made aware, the DA’s office said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Quincy Police Crash Reconstruction Unit and the DA’s office.
