A pedestrian died Monday morning after being struck by a bus in a shopping plaza parking lot in Tewksbury, authorities announced.
Tewksbury police said officers responded to the area of Stadium Plaza on Main Street around 11:45 a.m. for a report of the crash.
At the scene, they found a Lowell Regional Transit Authority bus following its planned route through the plaza’s parking lot had struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Tewksbury police said the bus driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
