Four people were hospitalized Thursday after a box truck rolled over on Interstate 93 at the border of Woburn and Stoneham, according to officials.

Emergency crews responded to I-93 northbound near the Interstate 95 interchange at about 9:45 a.m., according to the Woburn Fire Department. Firefighters found multiple vehicles with “heavy damage” and two people trapped in their cars, the department said.
Massachusetts State Police said four vehicles were involved in the crash, including the truck. All four drivers were rushed to local hospitals with serious injuries, according to State Police. There were no other occupants in any of the vehicles involved.
The crash temporarily closed the right three lanes of northbound traffic near Exit 28A. Shortly before 1 p.m., the Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced in a post on X that all lanes had reopened.
Photos from the Woburn Fire Department appear to show the truck on its side, its cargo of produce spilling into the road.
State Police said the crash remains under investigation.
