A small plane crashed in southern New Hampshire Tuesday morning. The plane’s only occupant was uninjured.
First responders were called to the site of the crash near Reddington Landing in Hampton around 10:13 a.m., Fire Chief Michael McMahon said.
The crash took place near the south end of Hampton Airfield, McMahon said. The pilot appeared to be trying to land when they lost control of the aircraft.
Images posted online by the Hampton Fire Department show a small gold aircraft tangled in grove of trees next to a roadway. Fuel did not leak from the plane, and there are no environmental concerns at the site, McMahon said.
The pilot was evaluated by EMS but was uninjured.
Local officials notified the New Hampshire State Police and the Federal Aviation Administration. State police are continuing to investigate, McMahon said.
