The search for a suspected missing person in the Charles River resumed Sunday after an initial search Saturday evening.
State Police received a report of abandoned shoes and clothes on the sidewalk beside the Charles River in Cambridge shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday, the agency said in a press release. In addition to state troopers, the department’s Underwater Rescue Team, Marine Unit, and Air Wing all responded to the scene, along with the Cambridge Fire Department, police said.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday night, the search was suspended until the next morning.
State Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is urged to report it to police at 617-727-6780.
