Boston police are looking for the driver in a hit and run that killed a 20-year-old woman in Roxbury Saturday night, the department said.

Taylor Wilkinson was identified Monday as having died in the crash. A 23-year-old woman was also struck and received minor injuries, Boston police said in a Facebook post.

Officers responded to the scene at 1829 Washington St. at approximately 8:29 p.m. and located two injured pedestrians, according to Boston police. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Wilkinson was pronounced dead, the department said.

The Fatal Accident Reconstruction Team and Homicide Unit are actively investigating the case and seeking to locate the vehicle involved in the incident, according to police.

Police described the vehicle as a small, dark-colored 2021-2023 Mercedes SUV with damage to its front grille and front light and missing its right-side mirror, police said.

Roxbury hit and run victim was student at Fisher College

Wilkinson was a student at Fisher College, the school announced.

“This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts go out to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her,” Fisher College President Steve Rich wrote in a statement on the college’s website.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover Wilkinson’s funeral expenses and “support efforts to find the individual responsible for this senseless act,” the page said. The campaign has raised more than $4,000 as of Monday evening.

Wilkinson graduated from the Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers in 2023 and started attending Fisher later that year, according to the Fisher statement. She was a sophomore studying management with a concentration in fashion marketing, the statement said.

“In the days ahead, we will work closely with Taylor’s family to find meaningful ways to honor her memory,” Rich wrote. “We will share further details as plans are finalized. For now, let us come together as a community to offer solace to those who are grieving and to reflect on the values of kindness, compassion, and unity that Taylor embodied.”
