A woman in her 80s was hospitalized Wednesday after she was struck by a Massachusetts State Police cruiser in Brookline, State Police said.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., a State Police patrol supervisor responded to investigate a crash at the intersection of Route 9 and Hammond Street, according to a statement from State Police. Police believe the cruiser struck the woman at a “very low speed” before she fell and hit her head, State Police said.
The woman was conscious and alert before she was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the statement said.
“We will continue to investigate the crash, and we wish the woman a speedy recovery,” State Police said.
