Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in Cambridge on Monday night.
Cambridge police responded to Clifton Street for a report of multiple gunshots just before 11:30 p.m., according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office. At the scene, they found a young man, later identified as 21-year-old Angel Nieves of Springfield, outside a residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Mount Auburn Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
“The preliminary investigation suggests this is an isolated incident,” the DA’s office said.
