A car struck and killed a pedestrian Sunday morning in South Boston, police said.
The vehicle also crashed into a building, leaving the driver and a passenger in critical condition.
Officers responded to a report that a man had been struck by a car at 600 Dorchester Ave. at around 9:24 a.m. The man, whose name has not been released, was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Boston Police Department.
The car struck a building and stopped after hitting the pedestrian, police said. Both the driver and a passenger sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital, where they are both in critical condition, according to police.
The crash is under an active investigation by BPD Homicide and the Fatal Collision Team. No further details about the crash have been released.
