A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a pickup truck in front of Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston Friday morning.
The incident happened at the intersection of Binney and Francis streets around 8 a.m., officials said.
The woman was rushed to the nearby emergency department, according to a WHDH report. Her identity has not been released.
Boston police issued a travel advisory just before 9 a.m., warning the public of the traffic impact.
“Traffic Advisory: BPD is on scene at Binney and Francis streets for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The victim’s injuries are life threatening. Traffic is shut down in that intersection and will have an impact on all traffic in the hospital area,” police wrote on X.

An accident reconstruction team responded to the accident site and the driver remained at the scene with investigators, according to WHDH.
