Man arrested after alleged home invasion in Lynnfield

An Everett man faces multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a home on Brook Drive in Lynnfield, police said.

Lynnfield police arrested a man after he allegedly broke into a home Sunday night.

Officers received a report of a home invasion on Brook Drive in Lynnfield at about 10 p.m. Local police, State Police troopers, and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department searched the area, Lynnfield Police Chief Nick Secatore said in a statement.

They arrested Ghustin Boyce, 22, of Everett. Officials said they do not believe this to be a random incident. An investigation is ongoing.

Boyce was charged with home invasion, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and armed robbery with a mask, Secatore said. Boyce was set to be arraigned Monday morning in Peabody District Court.
