Authorities announced Wednesday they are investigating a crash in Arlington that claimed the life of an 85-year-old pedestrian last week.
The Middlesex County District Attorney’s office said the preliminary investigation indicates that Harlan Cuklanz, an Arlington resident, was crossing Massachusetts Avenue at the intersection with Dundee Street around 6 p.m. on Nov. 26 when he was struck by the driver of a Toyota Prius heading eastbound on the road.
Cuklanz was taken to Lahey Hospital where he later died.
The driver, a 47-year-old Lexington man, remained at the scene, according to the DA’s office.
The investigation into the crash remains active and ongoing, officials said.
