This story has been updated to reflect a comment from a Roadrunner spokesperson about the location of the stabbing.
A person was stabbed in Brighton early Sunday morning, police said.
Police responded to 89 Guest Street, the address of music venue Roadrunner, around 2:34 a.m. on Dec. 1 after they received a report of a person stabbed, a Boston Police Department spokesperson said in a statement.
There, police said, they found a man, 26, suffering from “multiple stab wounds.” First responders took the victim to a local hospital, police said.
The spokesperson said the victim’s condition is “unknown” as of Sunday afternoon. Police said no arrests have been made.
A spokesperson from the music venue said the incident did not happen at Roadrunner, but across the street half an hour after a show at the venue concluded.
“We do not know if the victim was an attendee, but we are cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation,” the Roadrunner spokesperson said.
BPD said Monday they could not confirm if the stabbing happened across the street, but noted that sometimes the origin of an incident may change location as investigations proceed.
