N.H. crash leaves one dead, one injured

Police found two cars on fire at the scene on I-93 in Bow, New Hampshire.

One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a crash in Bow, New Hampshire on Wednesday, officials said.

At 5:41 p.m., state troopers were dispatched to I-93 near mile marker 32.4 to respond to a two-vehicle crash, according to a statement from the New Hampshire State Police.

At the scene, authorities found a white sedan and a blue SUV on fire on the side of the road, authorities said.

The woman driving the blue SUV suffered “serious but non-life-threatening injuries” and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

The body of the victim that died will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Concord for an autopsy Thursday, according to the statement.

The names of both drivers will be released after further investigation and notification of the victim’s relatives, police said.

Witnesses reported that multiple vehicles were speeding before the crash, but police are still investigating, the statement said.

Update: In a subsequent release, authorities identified the deceased driver of the white Subaru sedan as Bennett Brooks, 19, of Franklin and the injured driver of the blue Nissan SUV as Colette Vicinanzo, 31, of Concord.
