An overnight explosion in Woburn engulfed a home, several trees, and two cars on Wednesday, fire officials announced.
According to a Facebook post by the Woburn Fire Department, a neighbor’s Ring camera captured the explosion around 3:15 a.m. on Park Drive.
Fire officials shared the footage on their Facebook post. The video shows the fiery explosion with rolling flames lighting up the residential area.
Residents of the home were asleep when a neighbor spotted the flames and called emergency officials. The home’s occupants escaped uninjured.
“Thankfully no one was hurt and crews were able to extinguish the fire before it spread throughout the nearby properties,” fire officials wrote on their Facebook post.
The blaze extended up the trees and burned through the power lines, causing live wires to drop on top of a fire engine while crews worked at the scene.
The fire department said the explosion was caused by multiple propane tanks and a barrel containing “an unknown substance” stored near where the fire originated.
