Town by town results: These are the towns Trump won in Mass. — including 10 he flipped

Donald Trump's strength was on full display in Massachusetts, despite Harris's victory in the state.

Although Kamala Harris unsurprisingly won Massachusetts Tuesday, signs of Donald Trump’s resurgence were clear in some parts of the state.

Harris won Massachusetts with 61.4% of votes, compared to Trump’s 36.4%, according to unofficial results posted by the Associated Press. As of midday Wednesday, 96% of the votes had been counted.

Trump was popular in large swaths of Plymouth, Bristol, Worcester, and Hampden counties. The town that he won most definitively was Acushnet, with 72% of the vote. Trump garnered 60% or more of the vote in Granville, Blandford, Berkley, Phillipston, and Wales.

Comparing the 2024 results to those from 2020, the geography of Trump’s support remained about the same. Trump’s margins of victory were generally larger in 2024 in the towns that he did win, and he was closer in the towns that he lost.

Communities such as Athol, Rutland, Barre, Hardwick, Westfield, Raynham, Uxbridge, Sutton, Webster, and Townsend all narrowly went to President Biden in 2020 and flipped to Trump this year.

Most counties in Massachusetts showed more Republican support in 2024 compared to 2020, according to results posted by The New York Times. Norfolk County moved eight points, Middlesex County moved six points, Essex County moved nine points, and Worcester County moved eight points, among others.
