A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred in Watertown.

Michael McGhee, 19, of Boston, has been charged following the alleged stabbing, according to a statement from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Watertown Chief of Police Justin Hanrahan.

On Tuesday, at approximately 5:15 p.m., police responded to the area of Mt. Auburn and Boylston streets. Several 911 calls were made reporting a disturbance at the bus stop in that area.

One of the masked men allegedly stabbed him in the back twice with a knife during the assault, according to officials.

Two minutes later, all of the masked men ran back to their car and drove away, according to the statement.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated and released.
