ARL takes possession of abandoned Framingham piglet
Magnolia, a two-week-old piglet, will require neonatal care for at least a month before she can be put up for adoption.
An abandoned baby pig named Magnolia is being cared for by the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) after “a kind-hearted good Samaritan” turned her over to animal control officials.
The ARL shared an update on the piglet’s condition on social media Thursday, a day after Framingham Animal Control brought her to the shelter. The pig is two weeks old and will require at least a month of neonatal care before the ARL can put her up for adoption.
“Weighing in at just 6 pounds, this little sweetheart is full of love and snuggles,” the ARL wrote in a Facebook post featuring photos of the tiny pig comfortably resting in a blanket and a towel.

The ARL asked for donations to help care for the piglet and had raised $200 as of Friday night. Those wishing to donate to Magnolia’s neonatal care can do so at arl.boston/magnolia.
