Forget what you know about the itsy bitsy spider, because this spider doughnut is anything but that.

On Tuesday, the returning seasonal treat made waves on Instagram with a post from Dunkin’ that read “YA GIRL SAID IM NOT SO ITSY BITSY” followed by the caption “come at me.” Fans and other brands took to the comment section to commend the marketing team for their creativity.

“Spider donut needs its own account,” wrote one user.

“This is fantastic marketing GO OFF Dunkin’,” wrote another account.

Other brands chimed in on the banter.

Walgreens wrote “Dunkin please my girls on here😭,” and Pringles added “you got spunk, kid.”

The spider doughnut has become a character of its own. Nine of Dunkin’s latest feed posts feature the doughnut-munchkin combinations, putting this new icon in high demand for fans.

One reader commented under a recent Dunkin’ post, “I hope you stay unhinged year round.”

Dunkin’s fall marketing has been a hit on social media, following the format of popular TikTok trends.
