An individual was killed in a three-car motor vehicle crash that also involved a tractor trailer on Interstate 90 in Hopkinton on Tuesday night, police say.
At 11:40 p.m., the Charlton Barracks responded to a crash involving a tractor trailer, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Six ambulances arrived at the scene to give medical attention to six patients — two of whom were “heavily trapped,” according to the Westborough Fire Department.
Two people were transported to the local hospital with minor injuries, police said, and one person, identified as David Fencil, 48, of Calvert City, Kentucky, died from his injuries at the hospital.
The “major crash” occurred on the Massachusetts Turnpike westbound near the 105 mile marker, the department said.
The State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Services, Middlesex SPDU, Crime Scene Services Section, and Westborough Fire/EMS responded to the scene.
